Don’t know if this fix happens by "accident" or if the latest versions has been adressed to this problem (didn’t read something about it). Anyway: Automations work again!
In older releases there was the problem that the "back to arrangement" button has been affected by an automation, with the result that the playback of it was disabled. As far I can see it doesn’t happen anymore.
I don’t use Ableton at the moment, but I’m happy for all users and that Ctrlr supports an additional great sequencer/host more!

Yeah, how’d you get this figured out Atom?

I was using a workaround with the macro controls to enable automation. But the latest revision seems to have resolved the issue, and "back to arrangement" does not turn on when automating parameters. Very nice!

i have no idea but like i wrote the MAC version is using a workaround for the clicking bug, that workaround is using an older version of JUCE.

It seems to me that this change isn’t related to the old JUCE version, because the "clicking bug" appears with release 402 – the "back to arrangement bug" appears much earlier (maybe 10 releases before?). I guess at this time Ctrlr was also using the old JUCE version? Because you’re speaking about the Mac version – the PC version doesn’t have this problem with Ableton?

I had this problem due to a 2 ways parameters change.
– The host was changing a parameter
– My effect got the change and updated a slider
– Next frame, the slider notified the host it was changed
– The host thought I just started a parameter gesture and then put the “back to arrangement” button on.

To solve, I just had to avoid the slider to propagate the change.

theSlider->setValue(aMainValue, dontSendNotification);
