      hey guys,

first off – excellent work on the ctrlr. i am so happy this piece of software exist.

i recall having used one of the older builds and when i named the parameters and linked it with my host (maschine) the name would be displayed correctly.

this does not seem to work with the latest version.
no matter what the parameters is named, the knob inside of control just shows “undefined”.
can someone help me here? does this occur in other hosts?

      cheers

same problem on cubase…getting ‘undefined’ instead of the parameter name.

I don’t know if the restricted “Mypanel”.dll x64 instance is responsible but :
kore shows params immediately (before with ctrlr.dll i had to save in ksd , and load it to show params)
              Maschine : show params immediately
Reaper : show params + values immediately
Stagelight : show params + values before , now not !
Bloxpander : show params + values immediately
Studio One : show params + values (0 to 127 only) when automating
              Ctrlr : 1547 x64

There is nothing i can do more about cubase. It won’t update the parameter list after the plugin has loaded, i don’t know how to force it to do so.

An exported INSTANCE of a panel should show all it’s parameters.

The idea is to use Ctrlr in a normal MULTI instance mode to design/test your panels, and do that in Standalone (normal executable not hosted).

This gives you the advantage of better window handling, better keyboard handling etc.

When hosting as a plugin, there are always issues with that stuff, and i don’t know of one single plugin (no matter how expensive) that covers all those issues in all hosts on all platforms.

I don’t have a budget/time i can spend on fixing all those quirks. But the exported instance of your panel should act like a normal plugin with parameters built in, that’s why this option was added.

So in short design/test standalone, run/use plugin.

It seems that using an instance.dll panel with uiToggleButtons causes crash (both on ableton and cubase). If i remove all the uiToggleButtons from the panel and make a new instance.dll, it works fine.

                      Someone else have this issue?
