      Hey 🙂 If i want to use the Ctrlr-Vst and try to set ouput to the midi device (Fireface 802) i get a error that it could not open the midi device.

      Thats only in the CTRLR-VST. In standalone all works fine with midi output.

      I have two workarounds for this that are not very satisfying for me.

      Nr.1: I release the Fireface 802 from all other devices (Hardware Synths). I then can only use the one external device i whant to programm with Ctrlr-Vst.

      Nr.2: I use a extra Midi-Interface (just a simple and cheap in/out usb solution) and use that exclusive for the synth i whant to control with Ctrlr-Vst.

      BUT: I have 5 external Synths. I dont want to buy 5 midi devices 😮

      Is there no way to fix this??

      I use Version = 5.3.3, Build date = Tue Nov 11 23:41:57 CEST 2014, Branch = Nightly, Juce = 3.0.8,

      DAW = Studio One v2 latest release 32Bit & Windows 7 64Bit.

      By the way, where is the JD-800 panel (to download) gone??

      Greets out 🙂

        I’ve found the same thing with the PC3 editor I’m building. It doesn’t seem to be multiclient. I thought it was the PC3’s MIDI interface, but it might be Ctrlr

        In ableton, it’s pretty easy to work around, just turn the MIDI device off in Ableton and set it with the Ctrlr VST. You can then reroute Ableton tracks to send to the track with the Ctrlr device on it, and it works as normal.

        Another option might be one of the virtual MIDI drivers (like MIDI Yoke or CopperLan), where you can use the virtual MIDI cable as a sort of sacrificial MIDI port and just forward it to your normal MIDI interface.

            Just on this, I think it’s actually a limitation of most PC MIDI drivers, rather than a ctrlr issue.
