Hello guys, I really need your help

The PARVA panel created a bug on my ctrlr standalone. I loaded the newly updated Parva panel and since then impossible to use the app. When I open CTRLR I have the parva panel, and no menu whatsoever to close it and open another panel. Basically I can do nothing.

I deleted the app, I deleted the parva panel, cleaned the trash, installed ctrlr again, but exact same state : Ctrlr is definitely blocked on the parva panel, and there is nothing I can do. Even when i select another .panelz file, and try to open it with CTRLR, the app is frozen. I start to panic now.

I’m on MAC, using the latest version. I tried the two latest vesrion, same behaviour.

Help please, CTRLR is really an important app and I don’t find the solution.

ps : the vst and AU are fine, it’s just the standalone app. I have not tried to open the PARVA editor with my vst versions and I definitely won’t until I find a fix for the standalone Ctrlr !!

you need to delete all files related to Ctrlr. I don’t know how to do this on a Mac but I will have a look on my VM-Mac in the evening.

thx for your answer, but I think I did it already (Well I kept the panels but I think it’s ok… I just deleted the parva panel). There are some files that I don’t find probably…

Pressing Ctrl + R when Ctrlr is opening will delete preferences.

I found the preferences folder on Mac:

“your username” -> Library -> Preferences -> Ctrlr

                  Delete the folder “Ctrlr”.

“Library” is a hidden folder. You have to make hidden folders visible first. If you don’t know how to unhide folders I I can tell you how (don’t remember exactly but with the help of Google one should be able to find out quickly).

Edit – Show hidden folders/files on Mac:

Open Terminal (Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal)
enter the following two lines (hit enter after each line), you can copy/paste:

                  defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
                  killall Finder

if you want to hide the hidden folders again type:

                  defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO
                  killall Finder

Warm thanks, Possemo. I’m going to test it. Hopefully it will work.

                    Edit : It worked ! 😀 <3

It works, but you have to press it at the right moment.
