La-synth.ttf – can’t find it anywhere online…it’s on a
hard drive somewhere. anyone haz?(not expecting much of a response to this, tbh. would be
a miracle.)This is a font Roland used a lot in the 80ies, as far as I know it began with the JX-10. http://www.super-jx.com has this font freely downloadable: http://llamamusic.com/super-jx/Super-JX_Font.zip

can i just add a *.ttf font via the Resources tab without installing
it in Windows system?
(answer> yes, that works, it appears in font list, Imported Fonts)that’s pretty good. a bit thicker than LA-synth.ttf
in synthedit, for example, you need to have the same font installed
on the end user system for your plugin to display correctly – and you
can’t redistribute copyrighted fonts – ah: possible problem here?so the workaround is to actually make graphics using the font, and
embed those instead, but it can mean making a lot of image files and
bloats up the filesize quite a bit.
(i’m already surprised at the size of the end file on my current
project: getting towards 4mb, with only 1 small *.png strip)
