I’m trying to do a button who will send a MidiStart message ( FA hex 250 Dec )
to start the rhythm on my arranger
but when I select this function in the Midi message type it send a CC message B0 01 00
Same thing if I select MidiStop or MidiContinue

After I press the button the midi message type get back to CC but greyed out

Are these fonctions are implemented or what I’m doing wrong?

      Stay tuned. Quimquim

AFAIK you cannot send these messages with the built-in midi component. You have to make a Lua script that will send this message.

So why these options are available in the MIDI message type of modulator?

atom would have to answer this question. He probably intended to implement it some day.

              @Quimquim
Workaround : Use sysex type and insert FA in first(one byte field) field

                That’s a nice one. I did’t knew that.

I have tried that before posting on the forum. It doesn’t send anything with only FA in the message.
If you got it can you tell what other setup/options you set to get it transmitted?

You need to select a valid midi-out port that’s all I can think of. You can look at the built in midi-monitor (see scrrenshot).

Thanks for the hint. I checked with the monitor and the output is ok.
I was monitoring the output with MIDIOX via LOOPBE1 and I found that there was an option in MIDIOX who was checked to filter realtime message.
I uncheked the filter and MIDIOX is receiving it ok.
                      Thanks for the help

the built in MIDI monitor can be handy but in general I would use MIDIOX. The Ctrlr monitor is not timing accurate. So when you want to check timings e.g. checking if a sysex send delay is working as expected it will show wrong results.

                          I’ve just tried.
