      Hi,

I have been trying to make CRTLR work, standalone or within Logic Pro x.
I can select the proper MIDI ports for my Yamaha TX802, and the controller part.
But nothing goes in or out.

      Any ideas will be welcome!

Me too – not having any luck with CTRLR 5.3.198 on 10.13.5 either. Would love to know if anyone out there has had any luck.

Have tried every MIDI setup possible but no data getting out of either the standalone or AU. I’ve used CTRLR a few years back with my Virus B and an Alpha Juno 2 with great success.

        Using mrpeculiar’s VirusB panel http://ctrlr.org/forums/topic/virus-b-updated/

        Maybe a MacOS issue post-Sierra?

No problem here with OsX 10.13.4 – see screenshot. The Mac is running as a vm on VMware. Have you tried other panels?

Thanks for the reply – no I haven’t tried any other panels, I’m living in Buenos Aires at the moment and my other synths are back in Australia in storage. I’ll give it another try with a fresh brain.

What’s that MIDI utility you’re using? Looks super handy!

EDIT: 5 second Google search and I found it: https://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/

              Ok, all working perfectly now.

So, thanks to the MIDIMonitor I could see CTRLR is spitting out controller data, obviously. On the Virus B there’s a setting (MIDI CONTROL > LoPage) that defines what kind of MIDI data it’s listening to, and I had it set to SysEx instead of Controller.
