Excuse me for my failure to see a potential easy solution to this, but I can’t seem to get the latest revision 443 to allow me to import an image for the background of the panel.

Under the background image selection, it just lists none. Do I need to have the images in a specific directory, or am I only able to use specific image types?

there is a tab called "Resources" in the Panel properties editor, add resources (images) there and the list will contain those "imported" images.

          Aha!! Thanks

I selected my background image but nothing showed up. It’s a .bmp , should I be using a different format?

Try quitting and restarting ctrlr. That usually causes the image to be visible in the drop down menu.

              Ooops, let me clarify.

It does show up in the drop down list now, but when I select it, the image doesn’t appear on the panel.

yeah BMP will not work, JUCE supports "jpg, png, gif, svg" and there is no need to restart just select some element and de-select it.

                  Hello,

I have exactly the same problem.Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3 CTRLR 5.3.0.
I open Resources, click add upload a picture.
Then the pictures appears in the resources but when I want select image background and I click — None the menu is empty (no choices).

                  what should I do ?
                  Thanks

That’s the reason why I still use version 5.3.122 on my Mac (El Capitan). Higher versions don’t display image resources, though they do appear as resource in CTRLR.

It’s working with 5.3.163 as well.
