hello again.(more newb posts)
i’m getting to grips with things with Lua now, i think.
but…phew… i’m getting to a point where it’s getting
to be a lot to juggle in my little brain. so i want to
get organised and step back a bit to plan my panel
rebuild with method, and try to do it as ‘textbook’ as
i can: do a proper AssignModulators method, an InitValues
table, a function preload library, stuff like that.
if you see what i mean. avoid repetition as much as
possible, just basic Good Practice.
so what would you recommend? yes, i’ve seen other panels,
and they all differ a bit, and i’m jumping around opening
this panel, that panel ( i have a few favourites i look at)
i’ve started a notepad text file as an ‘aide-mémoire’ so
i can see what the work schedule should be now. not very
advanced with it yet, it is looking something like this
right now:
‘Panel Project Map’:(titles are arbitrary atm)
-panelIsLoaded(?…)
-assignModulators
-initValues and parameters table
-function preload library
etc.
do you see what i mean? what else should/could i be thinking
of here? i don’t think i can entirely exclude being ‘verbose'(!)
with functions that come along later but it will be a step in
the right direction.
any thoughts?
