PANIC!

This morning I started CTRLR and to my horror it opened the panel I’ve been working on for the last three days completely empty, no background, no sliders, no buttons, nothing at all! Another panel did open OK though. I tried to open the panel with CTRLR for Windows, but the same result. I opened the panel file in a text editor  and compared the contents with another panel and I can’t find any anomalies, so that gives me hope the panel can be recovered (but I’m not an expert). Obvious there must be something wrong! Please help, because it was a lot of work so far. I have attached the panel (without the background resource). I’m working with rev 1326 for Mac.

It looks like a bad XML, don’t know how but somehow one of the property names became “– None” witch is invalid (and impossible??? weird, have you done any Lua?)

Especially for this panel I wanted to do everything (if possible) without Lua, at least at this stage of development, so I did not use any Lua scripting. Again, thanks, you saved my day, man!

Well then i need to check the code and see where i could have set a property name to “– None”, weird.

To my knowledge I didn’t do anything special. Just added buttons and sliders. I did though experiment a lot with the appearance of the components, colours and fonts etc. Also I was trying out some expressions. But the panel behaved normal all the time and when I was finished  I just did a save and quit last night.

i’ve sent a post similar but in a wrong post “Lua in Ctrlr – list of frequently used commands”

For me it’s happen when i open Ctrlr with the panel , when i open Ctrlr without and after i open  the panel there is no problem.I don’t remember what i’ve done i’m on seven with Ctrlr rev1311

But i’ve several “none” to properties

Same thing happens with Ctrlr1323. Only my panel bug not the others.

I will try the validator..

I’ve tried a xml validator it can’t open my panel :

Not started with a correct character

I’cant delete anything in utility . All re appears

So i’ve saved the panel as *PANEL  i’ve remove all (uiPanelModulatorListViewTree=”0″ — None=”0″>) + unuseful old toolbar state . Because they’re not here in a new panel

And now the validator says

( Name started with  a not valid character .resource error treatment) the same error

Solved 🙂   i’ve just deleted the > to close the line so it was normal my xml script was wrong
