Problems with Ctrlr through Beatstep pro

Hey, having a problem thats really starting to bum me out…
Been using Ctrlr for a while and all the panels i’ve tried have been working great. Recently added a Beatstep pro to my setup but now, with the Beatstep first in my midichain Ctrlr just wont work. Any similar experience from anyone here? Mainly been testing it out with my dx7 (scarlett 2i4->Beatstepp->dx7, midiout->soundcards midi in) but guessing no other synth works either.
I guess i could put the beatstep after the synth in the midichain but kinda ruins parts of the fun.
Running live 9 on OSX 10.11.5, ctrlr version 5.3.198

so you are using dx7 with a panel ?
if yes
may be you could plug midi beatstep >Scarlet>dx7>beatstep
and use ctrlr midi option like thru ,plugin host etc….
may be using the midi thru on device too
the best is to have 2 midi physical inputs (may be beatstep has usb midi + other via midi ports)
