      hi

      first of all my respect for the programers of this incredible tool, its something i was waiting for years!! THANK YOU!

      i am trying to build an editor for my V-synth and everytjing is going nice until i´ve found this problem:

      there are son sysex strings that conteins 3 variables that counts with diferent progresions eachother

      my question is:

      how can i tell the program the way those variables acts?

      this is the way they goes:

      there are 128 steps (0-127)

      from 00 to 15 the variable 1 is 00 all the time…. variable 2 goes from 00 to 0f ….. variable 3 goes from 68 to 59 (backwards)
      from 16 to 31 the variable 1 is 01 all the time…. variable 2 goes from 00 to 0f ….. variable 3 goes from 67 to 58 (backwards)
      from 32 to 47 the variable 1 is 02 all the time…. variable 2 goes from 00 to 0f ….. variable 3 goes from 66 to 57 (backwards)
      and so on……

      i hope somebody can help me

      thank you

        How good is your LUA scripting? This is something that will have to be written in LUA to handle. Several of us here have just started learning how to program with LUA to get our panels to do things the main app can’t do without assistance.

          i’m planning on adding a feature that might be useful in this. You will be able to assign your own math formulas to tokens (custom tokens), for ex:
          [code:30pcsys6]
          F0 01 42 v0 v1 v2 F7
          [/code:30pcsys6]
          will mean that v0 v1 and v2 should be processed by corresponding (0-2) formulas, in the formula itself you’ll get the modulator value the midi channel and global vars as variables.

          The same thing will be added but instead of simple math formulas LUA methods will be assigned to tokens.

            hi

            well…its my first atept to do something (and my first day with the program aswell <img decoding=” title=”Wink” />…) so you can imaging im totally new with this…, the target is to finish the editor and share with everybody here because the roland v-synth NEEDS a computer editor, hard work B_TW because its a fantastic synth with a looooot of funtions.

            if this problen can be solve the editor will be a reallyty and a very good new for the users

            here is the work ive done at the moment

              oh..i forgot one thing, the variable 3 is the checksum and its not important because if you send 00 all the time the synth reacts on the proper way….

              and other question

              is it possible to program 2 diferents sysex strings to a buton????

              for example:

              ON = fo 41 21 f7

              off= f0 41 74 f7

                ofcourse, the sysex formula should be "F0 41 74 xx F7" and the button Content field would be:
                [code:arl9lz6i]
                On=33
                Off=116
                [/code:arl9lz6i]

                  thank you!!!

                  i hope you can implement the variable formulas soon, now im trying to learn the way your program works

                  thanks for the help soon i will upload some of my panels to share with the community
