This is a simple version. I actually break this up into different panels and set up Macro Controls for each in Ableton and run it just like a Device in Ableton. I didn’t include the sequencer in here, as it adds to the components quite a bit. I figure that should be a separate panel.
Open this up with Ctrlr, if any of the parameters are incorrect, please reply.
May 13, 2011 at 9:25 pm #1962funky colours, love it
May 13, 2011 at 11:23 pm #1963could you upload it as a zip? for some reason, when i download it, it downloads as an XML and when i change the extension, ctrlr still doesn’t like it, it only likes it if it’s zipped.
EDIT: Nevermind. FINALLY figured it out. damn computer hides the XML format… ;(
May 14, 2011 at 12:40 am #1964ctrlr will eat any format, just the extension needs to be right
.panel – XML
.panelz- compressed XML (gzip)
.bpanel – Binary
.bpanelz – Binary compressed (the best way to share on the net, smallest and loads quick)May 14, 2011 at 12:46 am #1965on my computer i was deleting the .xml in favor of a .panel extension but it was still saying .xml… i had to click info and delete the extension from the actual info filename. now it works.
June 6, 2011 at 10:49 pm #1969any new ctrlrs in the works?
June 7, 2011 at 2:48 am #1970Hey, Atom, glad you like the colors.
Kidney, glad you figured it out. Do you use a specific DAW with your Tetra? This is most of what I need. If you see attached you can see how I set it up in Ableton, so everything is very simple to get to and automate. I’m using an older build of ctrlr, as this one seems to be stable for me. I did a minor update, adding a few parameters, but nothing special. I was hoping Minimalist would share his editor xml file, and I would take out everything except the sequencer and use that as a separate panel, as I am not going to go to the effort since I probably wouldn’t ever automate in Ableton.
I do wish they would update the Tetra’ Program Mode to save with Multimode On, but for now I use Combo Mode and save those patches….but they don’t have any midi message to increment/decrement the Combo. If they update that, I will definitely make an updated Ctrlr.
June 7, 2011 at 10:48 am #1968Hi everybody, i would like to say that is incredible your work, i am logic user and about a few weeks i hope to have a tetra in my hands, i download the tetra ctrlr and i try to automate in logic and works good, only that i had to watch the parameters one by one but they worked perfect i do not know if they work with tetra but i will try and i`ll write here another time, i sent a e-mail to tetra support where i asked if they are doing a vst for tetra, they tell me that they are planned and development a new vsti for tetra and they want to release as soon as possible. My question with the Tetra crtlr wren is if i insert the ctrlr vsti with your panel and i connect with tetra it works fine or should i to do something more?.
Sorry for my english it isnt the best i know jeje well congratulations for all your work is amazing and i know that this idea with a few years have the best development for analog-digital integration. Best regardsJune 7, 2011 at 3:03 pm #1967if your Tetra is plugged in to your computer via USB when you start Ctrlr and load the panel it will work fine. Logic should work similar to Ableton in that respect. When I load my Ableton device, the Tetra will instantly work with the VST, as long as the Tetra is connected via USB. I’ve scarcely used Logic, let me know if the VST loads properly. I’m also curious if this works correctly with the latest build?
June 7, 2011 at 5:31 pm #1966Thank you very much wren, as soon i have tetra i will check it and i tell you how is going on
June 11, 2011 at 10:20 pm #1961i bought Tetra in one week i ll have it, wren one question wich is the difference between tetra ctrlr and the tetra voice manager of minimalist because you told that you are waiting for, thanks
June 13, 2011 at 3:52 am #1960it looks like he has just about every parameter laid out in "Tetra VoiceManager", like the sequencer. And it’s organized nicely for a standalone player. "Tetra Ctrlr" does not have the sequencer part and is laid out differently. I didn’t spend the time to set up the sequencer, as I am unsure how much I would use it. Probably mostly for varying portamento and delay effects. But I’ll wait until Minimalist feels he has it set up.
June 14, 2011 at 10:02 am #1959ok is how the tetra editor but better thank you
July 26, 2011 at 2:57 pm #1971Hi, the tetra arrived today i try with logic with usb how you tell me open ctrlr and load the panel but i can not listen any sound i went to devices and there is the tetra but is how ctrlr panel dont work when i play notes but if i open a midi track work perfectly.
Should i connect it by midi to work? and in the panel there are 4 voices i put 1,2.3.4.
I hope that you can help meJuly 26, 2011 at 11:31 pm #1972This seems to be a common problem with Ctrlr
Have you Tetra Plugged in. Start up Ctrlr and click on the menu in Ctrlr up above. Click on the picture for "Devices". Select Midi output for Ctrlr.
Troubleshoot the forum instructions on using Ctrlr.
July 28, 2011 at 3:48 pm #1973OK,
I’m lost. The panels for my Waldorf Pulse/Alpha Juno are working fine in Ableton but I can’t seem to get this panel working with my new Tetra. The controls on the GUI only seem to change the Osc 1 Frequency, often down to C0. I can do program/bank changes fine… What am I missing / how do you actually set this up – I’ve tried with Multimode On and Off and I have M Param Rec set to All…I must be missing something fundamental?
Really looking forward to using this!!
August 9, 2011 at 10:53 pm #1974bump??
August 11, 2011 at 12:21 am #1975Sorry for the late response, I haven’t been to this forum in a while. This currently works for my version of Ctrlr/Ableton, hence the reason I haven’t really been back on this forum.
I’m not sure, perhaps Ctrlr has been updated lately, which changed some of the parameters. I’ll attempt to use this on an updated Ctrlr Version to see if all the parameters work. My tetra is elsewhere atm though, so I can’t check it out now.
Edit: Don’t forget to make sure you’re Tetra is updated to 1.5..
November 28, 2011 at 10:24 pm #1976i also have a problem with this panel ” title=”Sad” />
i connect Tetra via USB, and then start start standalone Ctrlr or its VST in Ableton. I can change programs, banks, or voices. still i cannot play any midi notes. MIDI monitors shows them in the input section, but they are not received by Tetra. any ideas how to fix that? I use Ctrlr rev. 833 and updated 1.5 OS for Tetra. thanks a lot.
December 10, 2011 at 9:47 am #1977Hi everybody! First post here, i would like to use the Tetra editor i found a this link: http://code.google.com/p/ctrlr/downloads/list
The Tetra editor for windows.Could someone tell me if this panel works in the 4 voice editing with Ableton? I need a little tutorial on how to set it up.
I think it would be great to modify the 4 voices while composing in Live.
It seems to be impossible using the soundtower official software, so i hope with Ctrlr would be ok.Thanks!
