I’ve inserted a knob I created in knobman into my panel for the OTO Biscuit. The problem is the square area outside the knob is a gray box. Is there a way to make that transparent so it won’t hide the background image graphics, or am I just going to have to make it the same color of the background and lose some graphics?
May 15, 2011 at 10:08 pm #1283yes.. you want to output your knob from knobman as a 32 bit tga with alpha ” title=”Smile” />
btw the default knobs look kick ass there, ironically! no doubt though you can make some killer knobs in knobman, as you already have

May 15, 2011 at 10:26 pm #1284when using knobman i recommend exporting as PNG images, those support transparency and are compressed, JUCE handles them really nice.
May 15, 2011 at 10:36 pm #1285Aha! Thanks!
I actually do like the default knobs here as well. I’m using knobman here for practice for the bigger project with the Blofeld.
May 17, 2011 at 5:23 pm #1287I did say tga.. i meant png.
i really dig that very basic UI you designed there! looks great!

It’s directly from the hardware design. Even grabbed the background image from their website. ” title=”Smile” />
I have to work out the button functions and images. In a couple modes, the buttons function more than just on/off, and change different colors depending on the mode.

AnyoneIf I take a Knob export it to a PNG then
import it into Ctrlr as a uiImageslider set it up, it looks good
but cant get the slider to show any sliding affect win I use it. Just a
static png. I have looked at some of the Demo Panels and set it up
just like those but still cant get it to work.Is this a issue with
Ctrlr or something in Knobman? I’ve tried many differant knobs and
buttons but nothing works.no amimation of slider or buttons? Using Ctrlr 1547 win and 1548 linux. Are there custome png that are from some other program that work ? I incuded an example Knob that I was trying to get working.jk

there are 2 things you propably got wrong:
– the frames are stiched horizontaly not verticaly (there is a special property to select that), but i recommend using vertical export (when i wrote the code for this i was doing all stuf verticaly, and all the math thats there to render those frames is mostly tested for vertical alignment, horizontal should work too i just didn’t test it as much)
– you need to specify frame size (yours is 51×51)
apart from that you are all set, open the example.

of the dial you can see the number change at the bottom and see that
there’s midi output in the monitor window. But the dial in the png image
not changing, should see the dial move clock wise and perimeter change to
red as the numbers increase. I’ve found one that works, out of many I tested
I included it as a attachment.I think it has to do with how its put together in Knobman all the
knobs work in the knobman editor but after export to png something happens
or may be its some thing in Ctrlr I dont know?Attachments:

This is alittle strange I tried the uislider that you sent and it dident seem
to work so i changed frame H and W to 40,40 than back to 51,51 and now it.s working so the frame H x W are critical ok my fault.
ThanksJK
