      Hi again,

I tried Ctrlr in Reaper after not being able to get it to work in Renoise, and this time, it said midi out device was not available.

Anyone experienced in setting up Ctrlr to edit a hardware synth (tx81z) from within Reaper?

        Hi
I use the MKS 50 panel (to control my Juno 2) in reaper and I have it set up like this
        Reaper
Options – Preferences – MIDI devices enabled in and out
New track with CTRLR as a plugin – Hardware output set to whatever my midi device is called
        Settings in CTRLR plugin
        Midi
        Input from plugin host checked
        Output to plugin host checked
        Hope this makes sense

I also cannot get Ctrlr to work in Reaper (v5). When I load it up, it tells me that it cannot open the MIDI ports, and no amount of tinkering will get it to work. It works fine in standalone mode alongside it though.

It works perfectly in Reaper, but configuration is not obvious. That works for me:
1.) Dont use Midi ports, set the Midi Input / Output to «none» and enable «Input from host to comparator» and «Output to plugin host» instead.
2.) Monitor must be enabled on the track where Ctrlr is loaded and record must be armed in order to get bidirectional connection to the synh. Of course the tracks inpupt and output must be connected to the right midi-ports.

Hi, I’m wondering: Is it possible to control ctrlr parameters with an external controller in Reaper? And to record automations?

I’m still looking for the best host for ctrlr vst’s… Any idea?
