      Hi,

      I have a problem… I don’t know if it’s a common problem ???

I would like, from my future editor for the Roland JD-XA, once I have created or modified a patch to SAVE with a bouton from CTRLR.

I’ve read the Implementation Midi but I cannot see the adresses to do it…

I try to monitoring with CTRLR or MidiOx when I do the routine on my JD-XA, but no message midi ???

      Have you an idea ?

Thanks a lot for your help !

      Have a nice day,

      Xavier-Joseph from Reunion Island,

I looked into the midi implementation chart and I didn’t found anything either. I think in order to store a patch you would have to send a sysex dump with all data of a patch. The JD-XA patch looks very complex, composing a sysex dump would be a lot of work.

          Hi Possemo,

          Thanks for your answer !

Yes, Roland JD-XA is a very complex synth !

I’m going to see how to do a Sysex Dump…

Work is not a problem if I can learn some things.

I’m going to see that straight away !

          Have a nice day…

I’m not sure if it is possible. On the Matrix 1000 you can choose to send sysex to the editbuffer or store it permanently to a memoryslot. It could be that you can just manipulate the editbuffer on the JD-XA and therefore must store the edited patch on the synths panel.

btw. on the Roland JX-10 / MKS-70 there is no way to store the actual patch too. Only way to store data on the synth is by sending a bulk dump (all patches, entire memory).

But if you want to make a librarian, or want to display the acutal values when changing a patch you will have to request a sysex-dump from the synth anyway. There are several panels where you can look how this is done (including mine) but you will have to adapt it for the JD-XA.

              Hi,

              Ok,

I’m going to read carefully to try to understand all your infos !

Thanks a lot for your help !

              Just another stupid question :

Is it possible to OFF a buton from another button !

              I Explain :

To modify Analog or Digital parts you have to SELECT the part you want to modify.

Well… I can select with a button and a Sysex formula.

But when I select the second button, the light of the first must be set off

              I don’t know if it’s possible !

              I’m searching a tip to do that…

              Also,

Sometime when I press the virtual CTRLR button, le DEL on the JD-XA set off directly but sometimes I have to play a note on the keyboard to set off the DEL…

              I don’t know why !

              Goodnight World…
