Audio plugin - Shredder

Audio plugin - Shredder

Postby atom » Tue May 18, 2010 10:45 pm

I always liked the Glitch plugin http://illformed.org/plugins/glitch/ but it had only the precomputed effects, i wanted my own effects with a sequencer, so yesterday i started this little thing, it works :) and it does what it supposed to do. Instead of static effects it loads VSTs on each sequencer track and uses them to process the signal. I'll post some downloads later on, just wanted to hear any ideas or suggestions from you guys if such thing would be usable.

Very usable - the more modulation available from within the DAW the better I reckons..

bravo.

Hi
Amazing plugin !
Thank you for sharing.

Some ideas and suggestions :
- the ability to have different timing for each step seq (x1,x2,x4, x1/2, etc) ;
- also, the ability to shorten the step seq with a end point (so it would play only the first 8 steps, etc) ;
- a browser column, allowing to quickly drag/drop the plugin in the step seq (instead of having to involve more mouseclicks to load a vst, etc) ;
- a way to quickly spot the 9th step (a different color ?) ;

Some bugs and nitpicks :
- it crashes the host while scanning plugins. It crashed several times. Then, i ended up selecting only a sub-folder containing half a dozen plugin, and it worked, but it always crashes while scanning my whole vst fx folder.
- it doesn't show plugin's presets.
