First post and a great salutation to the moderator and participants.

My goal is to create under OSX Snow Leopard some lacking editors for instruments I still need in my compositions.
Beside the fact that MidiQuest is a crap, I’ll try to create editors all by myself…

    Actually my gear list is:
    Sound sources
    Yamaha S90ES with 2 PLG150-AN and PLG100-VH
Yamaha Motif XF7 + 5GB Flash RAM and almost every sound bank commercially avaliable

    Yamaha TG77
    Yamaha MU90R
    Roland Juno G + SRX03
Roland JV-2080 + 8 Expansions (Orchestral 1&2, Session, Pop, Super Sound Set, Vintage Synth, Drums&Bass, Techno)
    Roland MGS-64
Korg Wavestation A/D + PCM Cards (Piano, Drums, Synth&TimeSlice)
    Korg Wavestation A/D – yes theyr’re 2
Korg M1REX + PCM Cards (Orchestral, Brass, Fretted Instruments, Synth 1 and Synth 3)
    Korg 03r/w
    Korg microArranger
    Emu Proteus 2000+Virtuoso ROM
    Emu Morpheus
Akai Z8 + 512BM of RAM and 250GB internal HD

    Recording gear:

I also wonder why is everyone using Live! nowadays, i really don’t like that software.

I know what you mean Atom, it’s Propellerhead Reason for me. Especially as version 7 has the external MIDI Instrument device. Speaking of which…

my first big show was in leipzig @ the industrial stage with Noisex, Winterkalte, Synapscape and a few others at Wave Gotik Treffen 2000.. Because of that very memorable and humbling experience I’ve always wanted a Leipzig. I know, that’s a weak justification besides how great those units are!

    Hi msepsis,

No justification required for the Leipzig… it’s a wonderful, dirty, old school analogue synthesizer and proud of it. I find the sound and sequencer very inspirational, also in the mix it shows the Voyager a thing or two.

MIDI is very basic, nothing coming or going from the knobs… but in the Leipzig’s case I find that to be just fine.

At the time of writing the list is missing Virus A my latest synth from ebay. Reaper is used for the recording and composing (and mixing when we get songs and studio acoustic done) and LE I sometimes use for the garage bands piano.
