      Hi,

I can successfully use Ctrlr using Ableton.
However, it does not seems to work using MPC software from Akai. I have disabled every port in settings midi Sync to let thé ports free, but I still get the error openDevice failed.

Any recommandation to debug that? I’d really like to make it work within MPC software.

      Thanks a lot to all.

      Regards.

The openDevice error means the MPC software can’t reach the synth you want to control?

          Hi @tedjuh

          Thank you for your answer.

The openDevice error means the MPC software can’t reach the synth you want to control?

Yes indeed, but why? Isn’t that possible with the MPC software?
I can do it within Ableton, why can’t I do the same in MPC Software?

Also, I made sure that the port of the synth isn’t used anywhere by something else. I’m wondering if that’s simply not an MPC limitation. Can anyone tell me if he successfully used CTRLR with the MPC Software?

          Any help would be appreciated.

          Best regards.

Not familiar with the MPC software but I can see it’s acting like a daw. There are too many variables but I think we can pin this down to an issue with the midi connection.

Possemo made an excellent manual about what the culprits/ downsides are connecting a vst to certain DAWs. https://ctrlr.org/forums/topic/oberheim-matrix-1k-ctrlr-vst-ableton-10-live/#post-118784

Thank him kindly for taking the time to write it all down. Now go see if it works..
