Korg DSS-1

I’ve put together a panel for controlling the synth parameters on the Korg DSS-1. It functions really well, I’ve found it really opens up the DSS-1 in a way that editing from the front panel never did.

They only thing I couldn’t get working was unison detune, it seems to change the parameter on the DSS-1, but no difference in sound is heard.

The DSS-1 must be in play mode for the editor to work. I’ve included a big red "play mode" button should your DSS-1 be on the other side of the room.

Thing’s I’ll possibly add in the future:

1. Working Unison detune
2. Visual display of current multi-sound (looking at the manual this seems possible)
3. Display of current program
4. Single knob for delay time
5. A smaller, laptop friendly ui

This panel should, with a little tweaking, work for the Korg DW-8000 as many of the sysex values are the same.

Great work!

The knobs are a bit too big too my taste and the panel is eating a lot of my screensize, but other than that it is fantastic and works like a charme. I’m programming my DSS-1 in a breeze.

Hi. I’d love to use this panel as I am getting a DSS-1 today. Is it still available? The attachment seems to be defunct. Fingers crossed!
