Hello there, I am new here and found the ctrlr project an amazing idea

Myself, would like to see a Moog Voyager done. Is it difficult?
What exactly you’d need from me? I have the manual, if you want I can scan it.

take care!

it’s not possible unless you have a MIDI implementation for it, i couldn’t find any for the Voyager.

nah it’s page 76 i had two different voyager manuals none had the CCs mentioned here i guess it’s a matter of version.

One problem though, most of the controls are 14bit values split into LSB and MSB, i’d need to know what’s the maximum value that Voyager receives, is it 16383 (max 14bit value) is it 255 or some other value larger than 127, without that it will be hard to implement a well working controller.

aouch, now that all sounds chinese to me :p
I wish I could help you with what you ask…
all I can tell you, is that knobs go from 000 to 127 maximum (that’s what i read on the screen when turning knobs). but there is 0 aliasing, due to its analog nature
so, maybe from 000 to 127 is not only 127, but way way more (16383 as you suggest).

well it would be 127 if it was normal CC messages (7 bits) but it’s 14 and that 16383 value is mentioned in the manual but as a general MIDI pointer it’s not specific to this device.

I’ll build a beta with max values possible and once you test it, you’ll let me know how far off is it. I’ll post some work soon.

found your page after someone mentioned it on gearslutz and you have very interesting things here. actually, I think I am going to buy a couple of things only because you have made editors for them… matrix 1000 been one of them <img decoding=” title=”Very Happy” />

look forward to the beta.
