hello, i’m a fanatic user and totally depend on Ctrlr, what a great project.
Now I downloaded the last version (5.2.x) and it won’t start up on my studio machine which is still on 10.6.8.Is this expected behaviour? If yes, any chance the great snow leopard will be resupported? 🙂
thanks, all the best,
berndAugust 29, 2014 at 4:54 pm #28144Shit i can’t say if it’s expected. I’ll try to somehow target 10.6 with the next build using XCode4, keep your eyes on this thread i’ll try to do a build for mac this weekend.
August 29, 2014 at 5:28 pm #28146hi! this would be really great.
so, xcode 5 = no more 10.6? oh dear.
i’ll check out the new build as soon as you upload it.
thanks again.August 29, 2014 at 5:44 pm #28148Yeah apple is moving forward and not looking back at all
September 3, 2014 at 11:04 pm #28443The latest nightly build has been done with 10.6 compatibility option, check it out and let me know if that worked for you ?
September 4, 2014 at 1:31 pm #28463Ctrlr-5.2.120 is working well here on 10.6.8 !
The only problem I have are, that some popups in the MINIAKmicron panel are missing, the panel works well with Ctrlr_262f2710 16-53-49.
Don’t know if the panel needs an update or if there is another cause for this.
I attached the differences. Thank you a lot!

September 4, 2014 at 1:46 pm #28468yes, will contact the author, also to thank her/him, this is one of the best ctrlr panels ever in design/function.
October 18, 2014 at 9:20 pm #30905I had the currently latests OS X builder, 5.2.139, crash.
Preconditions:
The application starts fine and existing panel loads. Everything seem to be in orderReproduce:
1. Add new uiImage, get added nicely
2. Select the modulatorPostconditions:
The application crashes.I added the crash report/stack trace. I took a very quick look and at least there seem to be something in panel and the problem probably comes from JUCE, but cannot be sure. I have silicon my right eye so I cant see nothing clearly with it so that contributed to my overwhelming laziness I did not bother to look at the crash report in detail.
Ps. thanks for adding 10.6 as the base SDK in the builds.

http://studio.therobotinitiative.comDecember 31, 2014 at 4:10 am #34601I’m using Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6.8) with the Latest Build (Ctrlr-5.3.50.dmg),
and it’s working…The only thing is that in Stand-Alone application, the Lua script panel is very buggy.
It seems to me that the background color doesn’t update. So when you scroll down or up all the characters stay where they where and the new ones get put over them. It’s unusable in that state. When I first started CTRLR the font was set to color FFFFFFFF as wel… If I’m not mistaken that is white… So that’s why didn’t see any Lua script at first.
(You’ll find some screenshots of the graphical glitch attached)
I then tried it as a plugin… and it seems okay as a VST in Live 9…
I can’t say for sure because I’m just starting to learn this software.(By the way: Cheers for this lovely software!!!… I hope it’ll breath new live into my dusty pile of hardware)

berndHi everyone,
I´m new to this forum and I´d like to ask some help, cause every release of Ctrlr I´ve downloaded doesn´t work as VST in Ableton Live Suite 8.4 32 Bit on a Mac OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.
The stand alone version works, I don´t know exactly cause I´m just in the beginning to learn it, but if I erase the VST version from my VST folder Ableton doesn´t crash anymore.
I mean that Live doesn´t open, just few seconds and then it crash, had anyone any idea about??
Thank u so muchp.
March 7, 2016 at 7:28 pm #68595Can’t really help I havent turned on my laptop for a long time not to mention looked at the Ctrlr code or trying to compile it. But when it crashes click the report button or what ever it was called but do not send the error report to apple instead copy the crash report text (stack trace) and maybe that could lead somewhere. I think Ctrlr doesn’t work with snow leopard anymore or at least it did not work when I tried it some time ago.
