Hi Atom
You’re right about ctrlr troubles : i report in bug section..I just got the 1012rev and discover the rigth click on a byte in sysex editor is magic ! Thank you !
Will make many test and tell you if is working well.
I use others panel elements to help me and i’m rethink all i’ve made.
I’ve to learn more about Ctrlr….May 12, 2012 at 1:17 pm #4243hi
I’ve tried "ignore this byte" .this option not works because it seems i lose the 7f byte (ii instead).May be i’ve made something wrong.
How can i do ?
Tried too the "waldorf rackattack cheksum" option .this [b:1jtf76a2]works well with ctrlr[/b:1jtf76a2] but RA said errors.
I think the better thing is keep the 7f wich works (bidirectional) with all 10 bytes messages (global params) and all "program edit" params .
The 7f works (ctrlr to RA) for all RA params.
"ignore" at input and "7f" at ouput of the modulator is possible ?Please could you tell me how radio group button works ? can’t find any global explanation here ” title=”Sad” />
Radio group seems a very important feature….Regards
June 30, 2012 at 9:23 am #4244Hi
I’m sorry but i can’t make a panel for the rackattack because to make it a full sound design tool it requires too much "special functions" and knowedge for me aloneIt requires dump and the midi implementation of fx’s section is horrible ; plus : rackattack have up to 5000 params
So i can make panel to use rackattack as a basic expander and save to vst preset :mix ,ouput select,fx mix, program number, and some very important settings
I ve uploaded screenshot of the non finished full panel
August 13, 2012 at 2:47 pm #4245Hi
I’ve well tested "the waldorf rackattack cheksum byte" syxex byte option and :
7f= RA to Ctrlr:not working Ctrlr to RA :working nice
w5= RA to Ctrlr:RA errors Ctrlr to RA :working little slowly(Ctrlr GUI) and big jump value at some point.
ii= RA to Ctrlr:working nice Ctrlr to RA :RA errorsIs it possible to have an option "ignore at input and send 7f at output" ?
I precise i use the last version 1087 (standalone)and i’ve just set midi in and out without any ‘thru’ enabled and there is no one midi loop
thank you it is excellent
I precise too that the RA with this Ctrlr is really bidirectionnal i’ve tried with RA global params wich are working with the 7f byte and there is no midi loop.WorkingI continue the big panel :
Big up
August 20, 2012 at 2:10 pm #4246Hi
A new pic…..
I’ve reordered lfo’s sync values to render it "wobblizer"
I’ve question
Is it possible to render groups and texts to a background panel (the virus panel seems has a background with knobs ) ? How ?
I’ve found scripts in panels that make what i want just but copy/paste and change modulator names seems to be crappy because i don’t perfectly understand "ponctuation", i will try on a panel copy ” title=”Wink” />August 20, 2012 at 2:20 pm #4247There are Layers (a icon on the panel toolbar), you can define as many as you like and organize them later, you can make them visible/invisible using simple LUA scripts.

If you want to "flatten" or "render" just the look (no functionality) of a layout you have in ctrlr you could simply take a screenshot, trim the screenshot down to the exact size of your panel then load that image as a bg image.. Ctrlr has really improved w/ it’s design capabilities so in many cases this isn’t needed but lots of us choose to make the background graphic (shiny metal, shadows, labels, icons, etc) in photoshop then just load a jpg/png/gif etc from photoshop as the panel’s bg image. And yes as atom mentions you can add layers and groups, each with their own bg image, so the possibilities are really endless.

October 5, 2012 at 3:29 pm #4249Hello!
Just found this post and this is my first post here on ctrlr.org. I bought a RackAttack yesterday and it should be here next week.. Looking for a nice editor brought me here.
i’m a graphic designer by profession and might be able to help with some panel graphics for this project, if needed.
How is this project progressing?
October 15, 2012 at 6:23 pm #4250Hi jessej ! Welcome to the RackAttack club
Did you try jrackattack a java editor for RA ? It works
Well it’s cool that someone participate to a RA panel
I’ve many things to talk about it ! I know it now
I’m in a level in ctrlr where i need sript and i’ve no time to learn so the panel is on stand by
The program manager is a super feature and dump too but need scriptsI’ve done all sound 1 params with each sysex and correct names , global , program but not finish to type all values yet
The fx section need serious script, glb tempo and prg tempo need script+maths , the sound select feature a la attack vsti needs script…
Type exact values takes me lot of time (i’ve a full job so it’s long) , the patterns need graphics , the osc pitch value(note:C3,C#4…)+ detune(0to200) value give a value in Hz, etc……Here is a pic of how i’ve organized the panel.
About RA : it have 50 progs with 50 factory kits . I want use variations of them not overwrite them that’s why i need ctrlr the only tool which can.
See you soon !
