June 8, 2012 at 9:47 am #4118hello, sorry but these days I’m trying nyghlty version and see that is even more complicated than the previous version .. I want to understand what direction you are proceeding .. In theory, a program should be simplified so that the final output is a simple file. Dll controlled by the sequencer via midi, but to set this new version it takes five minutes more .. The file of roland jd-800 must be a simple plug.-in and not an army of controls .. If it does not open up the "edit" and Settano the various settings the plug-in does not work .. But now you have added a lot of more features ..
June 8, 2012 at 9:51 am #4119I’m trying the trial version because I do not accept more stable the midi out. Even if I click I do not agree to anything and does not turn red, in practice, nothing happens.

sorry but I can not understand, the place that simplify things, you are going in a direction that complicates more ..
June 8, 2012 at 12:09 pm #4120If it turn red and i see it’s windows (i assume from the screenshot) the MIDI device is busy (opened by some other application) and Ctrlr can’t open it, that’s why you can’t use it. Free the device (close it in the other application).
June 8, 2012 at 4:54 pm #4121i don’t have other open applications..
June 8, 2012 at 6:04 pm #4122Well if it goes red and does not want to open it’s busy, i haven’t seen or know of any other errors with opening midi devices. Do you use Ctrlr as standalone or as a plugin in a host, what other programs do you have running ?
June 10, 2012 at 12:57 pm #4123gives me the same problem both in stand alone or as a VSTi. I did many tests .. I tried using midi-ox and everything works pefettamente, I do not understand how to give me this problem. I reistallato everything and now accepts MIDI IN and MIDI out .. Coem VSTi within the sequencer using the Orion synapse.la procedure is the same that I followed in the demonstration videos .. Maybe you’re having trouble because my JD does not have the keys and the sound through a MIDI keyboard. Maybe it’s that I use to merge midi problems ..

December 31, 2012 at 1:45 pm #5340Any news?
April 30, 2013 at 12:26 am #8595Hi all, I’m using the JD-VST panel in CTRLR 946 (the original version of Beta Release of the panel), but I’m not able to edit sounds in my JD-990. In particular when I pass in JD990 mode some buttons disappears, especially the READ button, so I’m not able to read the parameters of the sounds.
Missing something?
Thanks
Alessio
July 11, 2013 at 7:46 pm #10753Where do I get a working version of the JD Editor please ?
July 11, 2013 at 9:22 pm #10757Hi Daslicht, I think that here you can find the specific version of CTRLR used to develop the panel
(both Windows and Mac download link are present)
And this is the page of CTRLR for the older panels where you can find the JD-VST Panel.
Just for curiosity, are you gonna use it with a JD800 or with a JD990?
I tried with a JD990 but I could not plug it in.
Bye
Alessio

July 12, 2013 at 3:04 pm #10778Hey Guys,
Sorry I am kinda no longer supporting the JD 800 editor, I although have an updated version at home that I may try to finish. I’m glad people are still using it…
So, for the JD-900, the idea was to be able to upload a sound into the device then edit using the jd-800 editor… it was never meant to be a full JD_900 editor, but more like upload a piano sound and then edit it\ using jd-800 parameters.
I’ll try to finish the library module with the 5000s sounds I have gathered over the years for the JD_800. I know the panel had some issues with teh latest versions of CTRLR above the one for which it was produced.
I’ll try to finish it up, or could pass the code to someone else.
July 12, 2013 at 3:05 pm #10779I’ll try to finish the library module with the 5000s sounds I have gathered over the years for the JD_800.
Wao , that would be awesome !
September 26, 2020 at 3:22 pm #120050Anyone still got the panel please ?
September 27, 2020 at 12:19 pm #120056You can get it here†, but it is very broken and always was in super alpha state. Certainly not even close to working with the JD-990.
You would be far better off modifying my JD-990 panel for the JD-800. http://ctrlr.org/roland-jd990-super-editor/
