      Hi,
I have searched and for the life of me can’t find the answer.
It is probably staring me in the face…

I have tried a couple of panels (e.g. mopho), if I turn the knob on the synthesizer (e.g. filter cut-off), will ctrlr update the corresponding knob on the panel?

I can see midi coming in from the mopho with the midi monitor, and the panel knob does control the synth… just not the other way round?

      thanks, Argon

It depends on the panel, the synth and Midi connectivity.
If midi is connected and the synth transmits the control message when you move the knob then it may work.

Midi cc’s seem to work on the panel I’m programming, for example.

It will react to the same messages that it send, for example if a knob is set to CC#120 and the panel will receive CC#120 the knob will update.

But if the synth reacts to NRPN but sends CC (it happens with DSI synths often, it’s a setting you can change) then it won’t

            Hi,
Thanks for all the quick replies.

I seem to have gotten it to work with the Mopho! Not sure what I did.

In the context of using Ctrlr as a VST in Cubase 8, I am not sure about all the midi settings.

I get that the input and output midi needs to be the instrument (an the midi needs to be turned off in Cubase).

Does the Midi through need to be set?

Seems Plugin Host -> Output Device needs to be on?

(I am still reading through the documentation)

            Many thanks, Argon (Australia)

Plugin Host -> Output Device is required if you wish to pass note data (for example) from your DAW to your synth. Without this, the plugin will not pass on any MIDI messages, only the ones that it generates itself.
