September 3, 2014 at 5:05 pm #28426Keen to know here as well since contemplating buying one (based on the fact a CTRLR Panel is already made for it – and it sounds awesome).
Cheers

October 13, 2014 at 4:33 pm #30573Atom and I have made some very minor changes since then.
My contribution is to remove the chorus feature and move the algos to where they were, and some graphical customizations (edging toward a more ‘realistic’ appearance) with apologies as well as thanks to the very excellent Limeflavour of course. I’m hoping we can see panels as works in progress.First in line is to fix the Midi Buffer Error by tweaking the sysex data throughput, but we shall see.
I would like to eventually like to see the envelope system graphical (with draggable nodes perhaps) if someone could help me with finding a graphic envelope module.
For now, Please see the attached panel and try it out. (edit updated 17 oct 2014)

Which is the newest version? Is it mod-3?

November 2, 2014 at 6:23 pm #31577Hi I updated to the latest build to get the TX81Z to work but now the image sliders don’t load. Any ideas?
November 6, 2014 at 5:07 am #31775i think 3 is the newest. i couldnt figure out how to remove the old one.

Not quite right. The DX27 does not have the chorus effect. It’s the DX21.
There are also some other parameters that do not have any effect on every “compatible” synth in the range: DX100 – DX27 – DX21 – DX11 – TX81z – WT11 – YS100 – YS200 – TQ5 – B200 – DS55 – V50
These Yamaha synths all are sysex “compatible” but not “identical”.
I know what I am talking about. I have 25 years of experience with these synths:

1. All the rotary knob now show a numeric value in a “bubble” when used.
2. I have replaced “CHORUS” with “ALG”. I had to use a drawing program for that. It’s a pity that the textlabels are part of the background PNG picture, instead of editable textlabel objects. Makes it more difficult to edit.Attached.

Attached version (4b) is hopefully better.Attachments:

atom stated he fixed it but I can’t seem to find the right version, so I went on to modify this one. the changes are:
ReverbRate: address updated to “F0 43 1y 13 14 xx F7”
op1 EG shift: combo reduced to be always “off”
PanDirection: knob range “0~1”
PanRange: knob range “0~99”
DelayTime: knob range “0~127”
DelayPitchSHift: knob range “0~48”, default to “24”Note that this is done with minimal testing, actually I just got my TX81z today, lol. This thing punches like crazy, definitely more responsive than romplers and VA’s I played.
btw thank you reklamchef for the hard work with buffer setting, it works BEAUTIFULLY on my setup, I can even randomize it in Renoise without overload!!

July 20, 2015 at 12:43 pm #53075Is anyone able to amend this to receive sysex dumps so the parameters are updated in the GUI when you switch patches?
If so, it’d be perfect!
May 13, 2016 at 8:12 am #69232hi hirf and everyone–thanks so much for doing all this. just picked up a tx81z today and downloaded your ctrlr panel. didn’t work at first, but when i opened it up it looks like the sysex string for each of the controllers had a 1y; I checked some documentation I had and changed it to 10 and it worked.
I know next to nothing about sysex and all this stuff, so I have no idea why it worked when I changed the sysex string to replace 1y with 10, but I was able to change values pretty easily. (though I also ran into the midi buffer full error).
cheers,
e

1. I understand that the panel in the attachments here is more updated, than the one shared on the main page, is there a reason why the mainpage panels stay outdated? π
2. How low should I set my Midi-buffer output to prevent the “full midi buffer” bug? π
