April 26, 2011 at 10:19 am #2374I don’t have a Microwave but the panel looks very nice!
April 26, 2011 at 12:33 pm #2373You know you can do custom knobs now, there are some very nice examples with the KnobMan (i hope to add knob templates as a section in the DeviceDB)
April 26, 2011 at 4:39 pm #2372thanks for the tip ” title=”Wink” />

April 26, 2011 at 6:26 pm #2371i have some really nice ones i found on kvr, i’m not the owner of any of them i used them for v4 don’t spread it around ” title=”Smile” /> i might get in trouble (though it was publicly available on kvr so it should be no problem)
April 26, 2011 at 7:24 pm #2370ok for knobs. but vertical and horizontal sliders don’t work. if you can do something about that ?
April 26, 2011 at 7:37 pm #2369yeah it’s something i have planned i just need to figure out how to do it right.
April 26, 2011 at 10:15 pm #2368I was playing around with knobman the other night on my pc.. out of town with my macbook pro, for now the default knobs are working fine for me just for now while I get things working.

April 26, 2011 at 11:08 pm #2367i’m just saying those custom knobs tend to look better, it’s my experience from v4.
but for a flexible and less cpu intensive GUI the default UI components are much better.
May 9, 2011 at 4:06 am #2380I agree, just a matter the look coming after getting a few things straightened out…
here’s a screenshot of the 1.9beta as I’m calling it
[img:22jr1qu4]http://www.monstrumsepsis.com/stuff/xtCtrlr1-9beta.png[/img:22jr1qu4]I was having fun with those Oscillator pitch sliders … still need to make custom gfx for those but custom gfx for sliders (non rotary) isn’t yet available.
I hope there are some xt users out there who might also benefit from this, I’ve been having a lot of fun being able to easily access so many features and settings on one giant interface like this as the microwave has many many controls under the hood you can’t access via the actual synth. Even if some of these paramters are otherwise available from the actual II/XT/XTk, the only way to access the one of 250-some parameters is buried beneath an LCD that is limited to displaying only four parameters at a time.

May 13, 2011 at 3:13 pm #2375Thank you for this, I will be trying our this software when I get home tonight! I have the MW XT as well so can’t wait to test this!
May 15, 2011 at 5:08 pm #2363ninja – I have done a bit of work on the panel since i posted, hopefully will be posting the 1.94 beta of this today.. I fixed up the osc1 and osc2 section, the wav 1-8 time and level ctrls etc.
I’ve been working on getting the shift functions working, it’s a bit more challenging that I had hoped.. but MAN have I learned a lot since starting this panel!

May 15, 2011 at 5:54 pm #2364This looks absolutely fantastic, and I believe you’ve only been at this for a month. I think that’s a testament to Atom’s v5 coding and your skill as well. I’m planning on doing a Blofeld and midiboxSID panel. I’m just starting out on this thing, hopefully I can hit you up for some advice/help on it ” title=”Smile” />
on a side note, I think I have one of your original CD-R releases sometime back in early 2000’s
May 15, 2011 at 7:35 pm #2365Thank you for the compliment, atom is worthy of the praise here, from me your just seeing an explosion because finally someone got on the right track for an implementation of something like this. I got sick of the whole direction of software development in the electronic music arena since the early 2000’s actually.. soo much attention towards emulating hardware synths and not so much attention towards integrating the hardware synths right f’n infront of us.. cakewalk in ’98 was better at this than most "DAW"s are today.
On a side note reply ” title=”Smile” /> we’ve still been active since then on the wtii label out of Chicago (home sweet home) but since I moved to the west coast, although we’re still signed -I’ve been doing a lot more experimentation and self-releasing rpm albums n such.. you can probably find this stuff on the web if you’re interested! funny note Paul works at Microsoft and I work at Google.. conflict of interest?? heh.. I don’t think we’ll ever stop working on music together though.. ever.
Of course if you have any questions on your endeavors with the Blofeld and midibox feel free to post away here on the forums. Atom is highly responsive to concerns, questions and suggestions alike.

May 22, 2011 at 10:33 am #2387I just wrapped up a series of updates to this panel, It’s a fully functional beast!

May 23, 2011 at 6:03 am #2379Fantastic work, sir!
May 30, 2011 at 8:28 pm #2398I am now making the bpanelz file available for this project. I’ve improved some functionality and cleaned up much of the panel after developing throughout dozens of revisions of ctrlr. I’m slowing down development of this panel to do some API work on an XRNS tool to allow the receiving, recording and playback of sysex dumps within renoise, but I plan on making revisions and many further advancements to this panel
here’s a link for MonstrumWaveXT 1.98 Beta pbanelz, including all resources:
[url:3d4kvqg8]http://www.monstrumsepsis.com/ctrlr/monstrumWaveXT-1.98beta.zip[/url:3d4kvqg8]I’ve included the graphics needed to display the panel in orange, also including a red (instead of black) Big Program Knob, shift/bank select knobs. The file names should be obvious.
Please note that if you are opening this panel on the OS X version of ctrlr you may have to reload the resource pngs from the supplied "import" folder.
Enjoy! Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions and by all means you are encouraged to add to this project!!!
