Four hours of trying to export this with lots of different versions of ctrlr as a restricted instance and sometimes I can get resources on the local computer, sometimes not, but it never works on a separate computer.

Sometimes if I open from within ctrlr it displays fine, but if I double click on the .bpanelz or .panel file there are no resources, even on the same computer. I can have both windows open at the same time, one with resources and one without.

My panel is finished, I just can’t export it.

Can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong? It must be something I’ve done.

      BPanelz file below.

I’ve open the link and it seems ok, resources are loaded and displayed.

Can you try to build me a 64 bit exe and dll and email them to me please. It’s the exporting that’s not working at this end. I’ll PM you my email address.

Just following up further on this. Dasfaker exported a dll and exe file from the bpanelz file, but there are still no resources showing on one of my computers, but it shows ok on the other one.

Could this have something to do with resource caching, and if so, how can I completely remove or refresh the cache. I’ve tried deleting the ctrlr AppData folder, but that doesn’t solve the problem.

There’s also a new folder created when you export an instance, with the name of the exported instance, in AppData/Roaming folder, did you tried to delete both?

Wasn’t aware of that one, thanks.

There’s a file in there you can delete to reload resources, which did the trick.

Thankyou soooooo much. Hopefully problem solved.

Another option would be to make it so that the author could choose whether or not to allow the window to be resized, by introducing an option at the panel level, and would probably be the most flexible compromise.

                  Agree with Puppeteer.

Right now, for the same panel, standalone restricted instances can be resized, while VST restricted instances can’t.
