      update:
ok, i’ve got that working. i’m not using images,
just onboard knob objects, for now.

but i think it works very oddly, and i misleading.
i had my tabs at a reduced size, and objects i tried
to make belong to group appeared out of sight. not ideal.

also: copy+paste is not working here as it hould right now:
does not paste into the tab! if i unclick/reclick (‘belong to
group’) it goes into the tab, but out of sight.
but ok, good!! thanks, now know how that works 🙂
can also do it with groups, but i’ll have to rtfm a bit more
      for that.

ps, i do NOT want to join githubs or whatever that is called,
i don’t care about stuff like that, really don’t. i can provide
quality feedback here on this forum, but that’s it.
it wanted me to register, and all that rubbish, and i hardly
      register @ jacksh*t these days.

hi, thanks for the step-by-step !
hey: how about converting it to pdf? > easier page browsing
or perhaps html, so you only need to click to go to the section
        you want.
        ?

comment re: param names and # of characters:
        >better to keep to shorter(8-char)abbreviations generally;
you can always signify by other semantic means, like having
a section header over a group of params. it’s a whole art in
itself, creating layout+ titles that are instantly recognisable.

ok 😉 i’ve figured this out: was MY fault,
not entirely sure what ALL the justification options
do 🙂 but it was all there.

i’m not sure if there is a problem here, showing wrong view
sometimes, but it seems to sort itself out on reload.

and i wasn’t entirely able to do what i wanted, but
no prob, i’m sure i can find another way. (to do with
label and value appearing next to each other. i can
just create a separate value objct with same ID)

i *would say*: it would be nice to be able to switch OFF
the clickable Value box, as an option.

step by step docx? ok, i jst dl’d that.

and yes, i’ve dl’d a tabbed panel to look at, but
i’m just mssing around with it,learning to handle
objects. very useful though, making good progress.

where is this up to at current version?
i tried rightclick on an object(knob/modulator)
but don’t get ‘send to’ option, other than front/back.

              Version = 5.2.102, Build date = Mon Aug 11 23:02:00 CEDT 2014, Branch = Nightly, Juce = 3.0.7,

i have not made any group.

                ok, no,so i still haven’t sussed this out. i’dhoped
to be able to create objects in a tab, but hasn’t
happened yet. i’ll study the other thread on this.

                  a-ah ! >;)
                  sussed! > ‘add tab’ – duh….

so Add component>groups>UItab is the main function, and you
add tabs inside that, got it 😉

next,i want to put all the controls i’ve made into tabs

                  but 🙁 now i can’t select my objects…?
                  can’t create an object on a tab…
nope, don’t get this yet, i’ll get there.
                  any tips? runthrough?

ok, i’ve found it, and created something, no idea how it works yet.
i’m expecting it to be like a kind of container, that i put UI
object in. but don’t know what nxt.

i want to do something like the Jay-Vee panel, with 1 tab per
partial/part, and a tab at the top.

still confused by the many colour definition options, have
managed to give a transparnt tab BG, that’s abt it -continuing
                    invstigation…

i learnt about sysex using an atari and cubase mixer maps. you had a choice of
object types, and a definition dialog where the sysex string was entered. i’m
hoping this is going to be relatively similar, but it doesn’t look that simple.
i even managed to ‘hack’ into the midiverbII which only has a 2seg display and
get it to send back its format which i recorded into the list editor, after which
i guessed the parameter numbers whilst jiggling the fader object and working
my way through parameter LSBs. it worked, and i had a fully automate-able mverbII.
