Hi

I have Juce installed in Linux where can I get the source code for Ctrlr
I want to try building it . I haven’t been able to get midi to work
in the Linux version. ctrlr in wine seems to work OK.

the other thing if I work on that panel in wine on Linux it doesn’t
crash . I’m using the 32bit version of ctrlr in wine of course.

Ok

Seems that uiTabs onto of uiTabs seens crash it as fare as i can tell
here are a couple of panels thanks for the help

I restarted windows then opened the panel as soon as i mouse click on the
uiTabs panel Channel EQ gains it crashes. I all so checked the use editor wrapper for vst plugins and got some windows error popup ?

Does the vst wrapper have to be used from the very start of the panel construction? Could this be causing the crashes? I unchecked it.

I then restarted with a earlier version of the panel seems to be working now

Ok

This is alittle strange I tried the uislider that you sent and it dident seem
to work so i changed frame H and W to 40,40 than back to 51,51 and now it.s working so the frame H x W are critical ok my fault.

No It’s not working . When you move the mouse there’s no movement
of the dial you can see the number change at the bottom and see that
there’s midi output in the monitor window. But the dial in the png image
not changing, should see the dial move clock wise and perimeter change to
red as the numbers increase. I’ve found one that works, out of many I tested
I included it as a attachment.

I think it has to do with how its put together in Knobman all the
knobs work in the knobman editor but after export to png something happens
or may be its some thing in Ctrlr I dont know?

Knobman Issues
Anyone

If I take a Knob export it to a PNG then
import it into Ctrlr as a uiImageslider set it up, it looks good
but cant get the slider to show any sliding affect win I use it. Just a
static png. I have looked at some of the Demo Panels and set it up
just like those but still cant get it to work.Is this a issue with
Ctrlr or something in Knobman? I’ve tried many differant knobs and
buttons but nothing works.no amimation of slider or buttons? Using Ctrlr 1547 win and 1548 linux. Are there custome png that are from some other program that work ? I incuded an example Knob that I was trying to get working.

Could you please add a 32bit build to the linux 1496 release as
I cant use 64bit in Avlinux . Also there’s no Ctrl-VST-x86_64.so
when it decompresses.

I fond that Ctrlr VST 32 Windows work good in Wine 1.4.1, well that I mean
is FLStudio 11 works very well in Wine and Ctrlr VST 32 works
as a plugin. But the Standalone Windows editor also works in wine 1.4. I’m still hoping for the native Linux VST soon.

I’ve got a question. I built a button in gimp and saved it as a png it has severel channels, button has a glassy look, but I cant get it to work in Ctrlr is there a way to use custom pngs in the editor? What image formats are best?

So the vst editor in linux is out. Is there a way to use the panelmap
with out the editor open, any way to use it as a plugin

Is there any thing I can do help get thing working in linux? Unfortunatly
I’m not a programmer i’ve no knowlege of c++

Can I save my work in Linux and continue to work on it in the windows
vst editor and then save it as a vst.dll .Also work thats done in the stand alone editor can it be opened in the vst editor to continue work on it.

Are there any issues with the win7-64 vst editor?

The VST editor works in ver 0.5.0 of carla in KXstudio
the updated ver 0.8 crashes. the .5 ver is the one installed with KXstudio
i can live with that. Please tell me how to save my work as a vst.so
So that i can use to in Ardour and other vst apps in linux? I assume that once the map it saved or expoted to the proper format it can be loaded like
any vst plugin.

I found that the VST editor works in KX Studio with Qtractor
and Carla. So i started up the VST editor in Carla and started
working,got into it several hours thought I was saving but was’nt
I crashed for some reason when I restarted there was nothing saved
it also will not open example files in VST linux .The editor crashes
Ardour3 as soon as you try to load it. The stand alone editor seems to
work. But not the VST editor???

Also I did install Mint15 Mate deb but when i run Ctrlr it
cant find GLIBC_2.15 which is in sid. So what is Mint15 based on
I thought it was deb testing which is Sid ? Need help

Can you give me help on what I need to do to get Ctrlr to run
as VST. Is the VST ver crashing because it cant find the vst sdk?
or should it open the editor window without it.

Before I Install Mint could you please tell what version your using any
libs that i need ?

Update on the crash on quiting program.
I tryed a dif kernel 3.6.11.5avl2-pae built for AvLinux.
It quits with out any problem. Thats the only thing that I changed ???

Update back to 3.9.2 kernel now no issues. except the VST crashing
thats real.

So I tried running as a VST plugin, no go crashes Ardour3vst and Carla
plugin host as soon as I start it as a plugin

That all the out put it gives is ther any way to see whats going on
inside?

Hi atom

I hasent crashed in awile when im using the Program but when I Quit it
doent realy quick still shows up in the task manager and seems to be using alot of cpu then I kill it.

Im haveing a problem with sliders in linux ver (I havent tryed win ver)
Slider style = linearvertical
the box below the slider when you double clic it will take input
but after changing the background color it will no longer accept
input. The double cicked setting button has no effect. If i change
the color back to white still will not take input. The only way to correct it is to make a new slider and not change the color.

Update
I rebooted and started Ctrlr now the color issue is gone and im using
the 3.9.2 kernel ??????
