That sounds great. Btw, I’m also pretty good with photoshop, but have no experience with UI designs. So I’m very curious about how you’re gonna go at theming the panel, as I wish to do the same with the one for the MKS70 / JX10. Would be great if you could share your working process.

hey jas, you may want to try a trick i use to speed up developement of near identical controller groups ie; replicate entire voice parameters of voice1, voice2, voice3, voice4…. in your case, upper – lower.
use wordpad to open the .panel file to rename the sysex with the byte that distinguishes each voice. do this by selecting and renaming each section of voice code one by one… speeds it up for me anyway

many of those only transmit note on, prg change and CC but not
sysex. just a hunchNope, it’s a MOTU Ultralite. sysex works fine on my setup with Midiquest XL but it’s a pain to use.
Edit: Thought I figured out but no, just managed to make ctrlr receive sysex data, still not able to send it.
strange, i use a motu midi express XT usb interface with no problems.

sysex. just a hunchsimple, the 7f 7f msb,lsb pair is 16129 in decimal. but 80h*80h is what = 16384
you would think 16129 would be the value that worked, huh?all the korg Z1 is doing is starting with the 7f 7f value and decreasing the msb by one for every negative increment. go figure!
also, the list i gave would work if you swapped the lsb msb in your sysex string like so…..

open the panel in the latest ctrlr
save as a .panel
open the .panel file in notepad or whatever text editor
click edit>replace. in the find what box, type: coursor=”1″. in the replace with box, type: cursor=”2″. click replace all button
done, save it.
open it back up in ctrlr and resave as .panel, bpanelz or instance.

this is an update on this panel. i am redoing the voice configuration function which wasnt quite finished in the initial version. sorry. hope to get at least a somewhat useful version out soon. check back.
if the knob animates fine in knobman, export it as a vertical stitch png file with alpha. also, make sure frames rendering is your 127 value, not the preview value.
check your exported image with a paint program to make sure its a long skinny picture.

sounds like either the mvs-1 or the midi interface are set to ignore sysex. does other hardware respond to sysex over the interface? try sending a dump request to the mvs-1 with a sysex utility to rule out ctrlr.
