so dom and me have started working on a panel for the d110. this synth is a hidden gem and great for strange 80s game type sounds. or at least this is what im using it for. here is a track i just did with it. enjoy, get one and partake πŸ˜‰

i just tested the tx81z panel with my tq5 and its only working partially, its missing important stuff like the pitch envelope, global parameters, effects etc. … also i think it needs numeric display of the parameters.

so im getting into programming a complete panel for the tq5, i looked at the sysex specs and basically understand NADA with all the cryptic shortcuts. anybody has insight into yamahaspeak πŸ˜‰ ?

think ill start with modifying the tx81z panel and see how far i get …

im all for it, there should be a yamaha fm taskforce! i dont have a tg-77 but a tq-5 and tg-33 and the big boss final nightmare of fm the FS1r. all it takes is to figure out the sysex code architecture and then i think all these 4op fm and 6op fm machines work similar. or am i wrong?

hi all .. just checked whats going on with the microwave patch editor. mine was working great but i lost it in a hard disk crash and have meanwhile moved to linux. now i see there is a ctrlr version for linux and it is working!

so now i think i will redo my editor. also mr. monstrum has now a commercial version for sale which looks really nice and can also edit wavetables. i have no idea how to do that. is there some way to figure it out?

im also on ubuntu and have no xperience compiling stuff that complex. im willing to give it a try if its doable.

wouldnt the binary in nightly work? if yes how do you run it, from the shell? i tried that but no cigar …

if no what is the exact procedure? im on ubuntu plus kxstudio layer.

this is coming along very nicely. i have most of the parameters set up so i can work with it. this beast has some incredible sound hidden inside. with the microwave its really is all about organizing the parameters in such a way that you can see all the important settings and how they relate to the sound. cntrl. really turns this synth into a waldorf wave, which is the BFG of all wavetable synths! her is an example of real time tweaking:

so here are most of the sysex codes but not all of them hidden. in ctrlr take this string "F0 3e 0 0 60 0 (a) (b) xx 7f f7" and replace the paramater code (a) (b) with the second and 3rd number in each line of the following text if there is one. so for cutoff that would be (3) (c) … those are the most important params but i still need the rest.

i cant find a list of ALL the parameter sysex code … so im starting off with the sysex dumps from an access controller that somebody posted here. thanks!

                                        filter cutoff:

                                        SYSX: 240 62 0 0 96 0 3 12 1 127 247 decimal translates into
                                        F0 3e 0 0 60 0 3 c 1 7f f7

this works! … im going to go through all the access parameters like this one by one. if somebody has a complete waldorf list, please post it.
