Changing access data is an unfortunate but often necessary task. Whether you think your account has been compromised or you want to increase the security of your password, updating your credentials is a sensible option. This article will show you how to change your Comcast email address password.
Step #1- Discovering Your Purpose
First, log in to your Xfinity email. At the top of the screen, you will see four navigation buttons: “Buy / Upgrade”, “My Account”, “Support”, “My Xfinity”. Click on the “My Account” button.
Below the summary of your activity are a series of blue buttons. Click on the one that says “Manage users settings”.
Step 2 – Choose a new password
You will be asked to enter your current password on the next page. After doing this, you will be able to enter a new password. However, there are some rules. The new password must be between eight and sixteen characters long, with at least one number, uppercase, and lowercase characters.
You can also change your secret question or answer here, although it is not required. When you are ready, click the “Submit” button. Now you can log in with your new password.
Step 3 – Change Email
Start logging in with your regular email address. Go to the “User Settings” tab at the top of the screen. You will see a link that says “Change username” – click on it.
Above, there is an option to add an additional email address. Click the “Edit” button on the right Enter your secondary address. You must also enter your password here so that Comcast can verify that you are indeed authorized to do so.
Step 4 – Reset your password/username
If you forget your username or password, don’t panic. In fact, resolving this situation is very easy. Simply click the “Forgot your username or password” link on your Comcast homepage?
This will take you to a new page where you will be asked to enter your username. Comcast will then send a recovery email to the account address.
If you’ve forgotten your username, you’ll need to confirm your phone number, Social Security number, or associated account number.
Steps to Change Comcast Email Password.
- Users must first select the “Users” tab, which they can do by logging in to “My Account”.
- When this is effectively done, users should select Edit, which is available next to User.
- Once that’s effectively done, the next thing users need to do is scroll down to the Xfinity ID Password section, then from there they can click Edit, which is available next to Password.
- Users can now enter a new password while confirming by re-entering the same password, and then finally click Save to complete the task effectively.
