Types of alloy steel
There are two different types of alloy steel, low alloy steel and high alloy steel. As mentioned above, the composition and proportions of alloying elements determine the various properties of alloy steel. Low alloy steels contain up to 8% alloying elements, and high alloy steels contain more than 8% alloying elements. Application to the construction of large structures

Even concrete structures use alloy steel as a reinforcement to increase the strength of the structure and reduce its overall weight.
