How to change the colour?

Hi,

I’m new here and I’m making my 1st panel.

So far I have made a simple test panel with a couple of knobs/sliders to send MIDI CCs, and it’s working fine.

But I can’t figure out how to change the color of an item: on the properties tab all I can do is fill in a color code in the relevant field; when the mouse pointer goes over the (e.g.) ‘Rotary fill colour’ label the pointer turns into a hand and the label gets underlined, but nothing happens when I click; isn’t that supposed to open a pop-up window on which I could select the colour? Or am I missing something?

I use Ctrlr revision 1655 under Win7 32 bits.

Sorry about that it was suppose to be a good feature but i think it’s a bad one. Right click to bring the colour dialog, press escape to close it quickly.
