How to work with Macros ?

not sure i’m using term ‘macro’ properly in Ctrlr context, but:
i’ve been working on elements of my panel separately in different
files. i would now like to combine them by importing them into
a new ‘master file’. How do you recommend i go about doing that?

i can copy a group or tabs ‘with children’, but Lua gets left
behind, so i have to then make those again and copy the methods
across, which is quite arduous. i daresay there’s a way to export
lua but i haven’t learnt how to do this yet, or how to import.

how does all that work?
