I was stuck at home today, so I made an AN1x panel. (Finally!) It functions pretty well. I want to skin it, but I know nothing about skinning in Ctrlr…

Right now, there’s no way to edit "Scene 2." You’re stuck with Scene 1, sorry. I’d like to roll some methods to clone the Scenes, and switch between them, but… it’s complicated! Also the Free EG, Common Control Matrix, and a few other features are missing. Let me know what features you’d like.
I love how the AN1x sounds, it’s such a great machine ” title=”Very Happy” /> BuzzzzZzZZZzzzz
[b:ugxmkxp9]EDIT:[/b:ugxmkxp9] If you turn a knob and the AN1x says "Err:DevNo", you need to change the device number. Switch your AN1x to the "DeviceNo" screen, and set it to 1.
November 1, 2011 at 5:05 am #3471great job 2mm… I’m handy at skinning, and i was going to make this panel myself. how about we collaborate?

let me know.[/quote:1fb7mxh2]Yes! Hopefully I can study your work and teach myself how to create a skin, too.
I have no concrete ideas for the design. The AN1x has a distinctive color scheme, maybe that can be incorporated somehow. What’s the next step? I still want to add Scene and VarFX controls, possibly this weekend…
November 11, 2011 at 3:56 pm #3473I opened this up in Ctrlr 833 and the controls have the SysEx Formulas but the MIDI Message Type is set to CC.
Once I set all those controls to send SysEx and hooked up an AN200 they worked. I tested the Cutoff and Res.

Thanks for solving that mystery for me. I’ve had many requests for an AN200-compatible version, and I couldn’t figure out why it was broken. I’ll update the panel and upload a new version. (EDIT: It’s done, see my next post.)

Here’s a new version that works with the AN1x and AN200, I hope? The knobs are configured to send SysEx events now. Tell me if it works for you… ” title=”Smile” />
November 13, 2011 at 1:25 pm #3476The new version works fine. Just additional features of the AN200 are missing.
You must have a display bigger than 1920×1080 as the Toolbar in Ctrlr is not visible on my screen. I had to open the panel up in a text editor and change the coordinates of the toolbar to get it to show up on my screen.
Suggestions:
[list:1vafxe6f]
Make the panel smaller.
It would be nice to have it fit on a netbook screen with the Ctrlr menubar. ” title=”Very Happy” />Name the Controls
This would be useful for automation.Use Ctrlr tabs to move stuff like the Control Matrix off the main tab
Make the Waveform, PEG Osc Destination, VCF Filter Type, PWM Source and a few others Radio Buttons.
Create a set of buttons and assign them a Radio Group value greater than 0Create a set of buttons for the LFO Assign Group parameter.
In the Yamaha AN200 editor this was a combo box list, but limited you to a specific set of assignments. You might want to consider using CC Codes where they are available instead of SysEx.
Page 12 of the Data List book has a list of CC codes recognized by the AN1x when in Control Change Mode 1 and Mode 2.
Pages 118-119 of the AN200 manual, Section 1.2.18 of the MIDI Specification for the AN200 has a list of the CC codes for the AN200 in its NORM and ALL modes.Noise, Ring Mod and Feedback could go with the 2 VCO level controls.
High Pass filter is before the main filter.
Maintain state of controls to affect other controls
The available Waveforms change depending on Sync state.
[/list:u:1vafxe6f]Attached is a rough layout with various items put into Ctrlr groups. I have also placed the Control Matrix items in a Group and placed them on their own tabs. i have coloured controls that could be Radio Button groups green.
I am subscribed to the AN1x list as well.
I have made attempts at creating control maps for the AN200 on a Behringer BCR2000 and Novation Remote Zero SL.
Thanks for all the work so far.
November 24, 2011 at 8:13 pm #3477Hey guys sorry for not getting back to this… I started the process of skinning it yesterday. I picked up a Yamaha MU90R and made a controller for it yesterday as well. i will be working on the AN1x panel all thanksgiving weekend and should finish it by then
November 25, 2011 at 8:25 pm #3478AN1X panel is coming along…. MU90R Performance editor finished.
UPDATE:
AN1x panel now has control of both scenes. tabs would not work so i had
to do alot of manual cut-paste in a text editor to make it work. a labor of love.March 27, 2012 at 6:05 pm #3479Excuse me but… How do you use this? I set up my MIDI Devices properly but I tweak knobs on the AN1x and nothing happens on the computer, and I tweak knows on the computer and nothing happens on the AN1x.
I’m clueless. ” title=”Confused” />
Does it work like AN1x Edit? How do you send/recieve bulk or whatever it’s called? I know as little computer programming as I know French.
I know I set the MIDI Devices up properly because I can see it Recieving MIDI CC in the MIDI Monitor/Log Viewer.September 28, 2015 at 1:58 am #58919HI,
