      hi all

brand new to this, just installed pg300 and am trying to get going.

is there a way to find out the faders / controls MIDI CC numbers so that i can configure my midi controller to operate them? is this possible?

i can see the sysex stream going in from synthesiser and out from PG300 but have no idea how to interpret what i am seeing to convert to MIDI CC, i have set my controller to the values in the roland juno manual but nothing happens to the PG300 software

thanks to the designers of panels, and also everybody involved in this software

      jamie

I don’t have the hardware or run the panel in question, but normally the panel is designed to interface with a particular synth so if you move a knob on the screen it will send out the appropriate MIDI to change that value on the synth.

If you want to control the panel faders from a controller device, then either a) the panel creator has to code for it specifically (which is unlikely due to the ease of option b) or you b) use a VST host to assign the controller to the VST knobs.

thanks puppeteer, sorry ive been on holiday so my reply is late.

the problem is that the B solution is easy, but only if you have the ability to get the midi control setup in a daw environment, without the controller numbers how can i do this?
i would happily send my CC thru the DAW to the pg300 panel but finding out how is the question, maybe i worded it wrong initially but that’s what i am asking – where can i find the CC numbers that each fader in the panel would respond to, surely they exist inside the sysex data streams? …

            thanks anyway.
