Does Ctrlr as VST send snapshot to host?

I am using Reaper and have Ctrlr as a VST on a channel that is being sent to a JX-3P. Ctrlr is set to “output to plugin host”, which works when moving the knobs but not when trying to send a snapshot. I thought I had had this working before with a possibly different version of Ctrlr. Am I doing something wrong and should this be working how I expect? Thanks.
