Sir Possemo. Ok I understand confirmed. Yes the CC’s are not a problem & are way less hassles than SysEx but the TB-3 has 2 charts & the 2nd chart shows numerous SysEx Parameters which just can’t be accessed via CC’s hence why I am learning to make my own custom panel & why I was asking about Device ID’s.

I have attached the TB-3’s Sysex Chart, which now I understand MOST of it but there are a few questions I want to ask about it & don’t worry my questions are nothing to do with Device ID’s lol.

I’m learning pretty quick though because it was only few weeks ago I did not have ANY clue what the SysEx Chart meant.

Ok thanks Sir Possemo yea got confused with the Version text.

Atom did you see that ? There’s 2 of us now requesting font size change now lol! I’m no longer a 1 man army.

I’m such an idiot Atom, when I first downloaded Ctrlr from the downloads section, I automatically assumed the latest versions were at the top of the list & older versions down so I originally installed 5.2 lol but all good I’ve now installed the latest 5.4 cheers.

After I installed your 5.4.2 version, when I load Ctrlr & I click on Help–About, it says Version 5.3.201, is this normal ? Coz I was expecting to just see 5.4.2.

Hmmm ok. So just to clarify, if I have 2 TB-3’s in a chain with the same Deivce ID & it’s not changeable & I send a SysEx to them then it’s badluck ?? They’ll both respond to the SysEx message ??

I’m pretty sure Roland TB-3’s don’t use MIDI channels for SysEx because in it’s SysEx chart, it only mentions Device ID in the Data Set examples & no mention of MIDI channel at all.

Hi.

Aha! Ok thanks Possemo! It wasn’t MIDI Thru but I had the MIDI Controller also set to my TB-3, when I change the Controller to None all is good no Identity Reply in my Midi Output monitor.

Hey it’s Atom the man himself! I’ve been reading your Getting started guide, very nice.

I wouldn’t want you to go out of your way if I’m the only 1 asking about font size, but it would be a really nice bonus because my 55″ plasma ofcourse sits about 2 & half metres away & with 1080 res it really is straining, especially the Parameter Bar & Midi Monitoring.

hmm ok yea well I am talking about the parameter bar. it’s sooo small the text but badluck I guess I’ll have to change res when I use it.
