I have zero programming skills and so unfortunately cannot contribute much at the moment, but I am keeping a close eye on this topic.

A functioning Roland M-VS1 panel would be an amazing tool and I really hope the panel gets completed!

Maybe it could be modded for the other Roland Sound Modules in the series relatively easily, since they follow a similar architecture.
