Coco Peat – Best Organic Growing Medium

Coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) which grows in tropical climate and is a tree located in the fact of palm. Coconuts are used for food purposes while the thick outer shell rich in fiber is the source of our raw materials.

Coco peat is a by-product left from grinding the husks to obtain fibre. Coco peat which was earlier discarded as by-product waste has become a popular growing medium due to its unique features.

Apart from milling to get coconut fibres, the husk is also shredded and chopped to get cocopeat & coco crushed for the purpose of growing. Coir fibers were earlier used for purposes other than growth now as a mixture in substrates as it has the ability to increase the aeration of the substrate.
