Everyday Is a Health and Fitness Resolution

Maintaining physical fitness requires determination! Nothing is more important than following a fitness plan. In the holidays, many of us make a New Year’s resolution to get fit and healthy, but I’m here to tell you that every day is a good time to make a health and fitness decision! Although we often blame external circumstances for our poor health (for example, office foods, fast food, “the holidays”) in reality, the real barrier preventing us from reaching our fitness goals is procrastination.

How many times have we said to ourselves, “One day I will wear this dress” or “I will be back to my weight in college eventually”? Time and time again, we delay our healthy fitness decisions until a later date. It’s time to stop this constant procrastination because all we end up doing is having a constant desire… an endless desire. Make the decision to turn these dreams into reality. The delay is over. As Shakespeare says, “Do not delay time; delay has dangerous ends.”

The secret to living a healthy life is realizing that tomorrow never comes! Our tomorrow is nothing but the consequences of the decisions we make today well being. When we think about it, it becomes clear that today is all we have. The past no longer exists. The future is yet to come. The present is all that exists! Therefore, the person you want to be in the future will only appear when the person you are in reality decides to do something … now. Again, every day is a health and fitness decision!

Reaching your long-term fitness goals requires commitment. There are no shortcuts! What this entails varies from person to person. The best way to increase your time and efforts is to work with a personal trainer. It will help you decide which exercises and diet are best for your physical makeup and life condition. It is much easier to reach your fitness goals when you have a daily plan that guides you on how to get there.

Despite the numerous tricks, crappy diets, and fancy exercise plans, reaching your health and fitness goals is quite simple. requires two components; 1) An exercise plan that fits your body type and goals, 2) Your determination and resolve to follow that plan, every single day! I’m not saying you have to train every day, it’s the mindset that you want to be on top of it. Armed with this two-pronged attack, the physique will lose its mysterious and elusive quality. There are exercise and diet plans. It is very possible to find a program that works for you. The real question you should be asking yourself is this; “Do I have the resolution and determination to work towards my goals every day?” Do I genuinely want each day to be a health and fitness decision?

The great secret of happiness in life is realizing that today is all we have. Seeds of the future You are present in the small decisions you make today. Every day is an opportunity and an invitation to become the new and evolving you. Want to be healthier? Want to increase your level of fitness? Then make the decision today, and every day, to do what’s needed! Make each day a health and fitness decision.
