my first panel for the access virus B … maybe it need some work on value labeling but it works

You could make similar for Virus C ? I have tried your panel on Virus C, but it doesn’t work.

I’m testing this out with the Virus C and it does indeed work. Of course, it seems to be missing features and access to the extra Virus C banks.
What I can’t get to work is the dump feature. Is it possible to dump the parameters from my hardware into the panel? I’m also willing to help out by providing any information from the Virus C to get this fully integrated.

Yes many knobs works in a standalone mode, but at me a problem with Logic Pro 9 when I start it as AU Plugin and I twist for example Cutoff on Virus a plugin crash. On Windows yet didn’t check

Widy75 – nice work, a great improvement on my Virus Ctrlr for the previous version of Ctrlr! I’m now linking visitors to my old Virus Ctrlr page (http://crayolon.net/virusctrlr/) straight to this thread so they can try your version first.

Like Dj Satana, it’s working fine for me in standalone mode (although the virus->panel dump doesn’t seem to work), but when I try to run either the AU or the VST in a DAW it crashes. Tested with Renoise and Ableton Live on Mac – I’m afraid I can’t test on Windows at the moment. The panel loads fine, knobs can be turned etc. but as soon as it receives MIDI input it crashes.

Oh, and as h3moglobin says, we need more bank values in the dropdown! My Virus B with the latest OS goes from A to H; I guess the Virus C goes even further…

i cant support virus c .. i only own a Virus B ..and if there are some controllers commands different it’s useless
but u can open the panel in edit mode and change it ” title=”Smile” />

if the mdicontrolerdump is not working check
a)the device id on the virus ..
b)or the transmit receive midi options
my virus is configured like:
DeviceId=1
Midi Control LOW PAGE = Contrl
Midi Control High PAGE = PolyPres
GlobalChannel = 1
Midi Dump RX = Enable
MidiDumpTX=ControllerDump
this is the only sysex command i send ..all other knobs are simple cc

for me its working fine with
win7 64bit
reaper latest version 32 bit
ctrlr latest version

Widy75 – everything Virus B cc/sysex parameter is the same on the Virus C, the only difference being that the Virus C has EQ controls and possibly some extra reverb type. I can’t remember exactly, but there are very few differences and with a comparison of the manuals, it should be easy to add the relevant controls even without having a Virus C to test with (I’m sure somebody else will test it for you ” title=”Smile” /> ). Anyway, there are no *conflicts* between B and C, only some extra values on the C.

Thanks, I’ll check those values on the Virus. I have HighPage set to Sysex, because my older Virus Ctrlr uses sysex for some extended functions, but I don’t think that makes any difference. If I get time, I’ll try going into editmode and bugtesting the Mac version of your Ctrlr (although I haven’t learnt much about the current version yet – any help from others would be much appreciated!)

Dj Satana – the VST and AU versions work for me on Mac if I set them up in this order:

– Load Ctrlr VST/AU (but don’t arm for MIDI control/output just yet)
– Configure MIDI device settings
– Open the panel
– Choose MIDI devices from the dropdowns
– Arm (or ‘record enable’, or whatever) the channel

Now you should be able to play MIDI through the panel without Ctrlr crashing!

and im thinking about a multi edit mode for the virus …but this seems to be a hard work …. if i see the sysex impelmentation with over 250 parameter will cry

-add all arp patterns from the latest os 0-63.. i missed this because my manual was to old
-add a 6xstorage to save/recall sound dumps
-add a morph slider to morph between sounddump ( between storage1-2)
its not for realtime (mybe my code is not so fast .. i need to switch to index based programming instead of string searching all the time, but it was the first tryout) , its for finding new sounds and therefore it works perfect…

usecase
select any patch on synth or panel
press request sound dump that ctrlr panel is up to date (select patch didnt request the dump, because i will tryout more patches on the synth before syncing with the panel .. its faster)
press store1
select another patch on synth or panel
press request sound dump that ctrlr panel is up to date
press store2
if one nice sound was found u can store it to 3-6 for recalling on recording
thats my workflow .

yellow … current panel state is stored to memx
wihte —-memx cleard .. not realy .. but its marked as not stored
green…. current active recall / or morph is active
store1 + store2 set morph state to enable

hi guys.. Can i thank everyone for this great forum and peice of software.. i have finally got it working with my virus c. The only thing i cant seem to do is view banks. Iv eonly just got it working so i will be messing around! If i can help out in any way please let me know.. I have ZERO programming knowledge so all i can do is test the software out.. once again thanks to everyone for the tip
