I’m trying to lay out multiple UI elements with the same name visible on screen (e.g. Attack, Decay, etc…). I have more than one envelope on my device, and I am grouping the respective UI controllers in Groups. Each time I name more than one element the same thing, when I save and then reopen the panel, the duplicate names have numbers appended to the end (e.g. Attack-1, Attack-2).

Is there any way around this, so I can have multiple UI elements that each have the same on-screen identifier?

when i was designing the LUA interface i had to make the objects unique and the name was that unique thing, but since i re-designed the LUA interface i guess it would be possible to loose that, i’ll think about it cause i think there might be a few gotchas, there is a possibility to add a "Visible name" and leave the "name" so that the Visible name can be non-unique and the name will be unique

I like the last solution the best – leave "Name" as unique, and add "Visible Name" as non-unique. Thanks!
