Well there are some major updates to this build

– the initial Device Database release, you can upload/download/list items, check your settings for the DDB, the username/password is the same as on the ctrlr.org forum
to upload you need to have the panel open, fill in your details in the panel properties (author name email description version etc.)
try to upload, this is a very early feature but it should work, as you can see on the ctrlr.org webpage on the top there is a link to DDB, that should list all the items in the DDB
for now it’s a dumb list but i’ll make it a bit more useful

– all the modulator list features requested are there, you can add/remove/sort/resize columns, you can export the modulator list as a HTML/CSV, all the text in the list is selectable and copyable

– a lot of bugs have been fixed (zoom annoyance bug, crash when leaving Ctrlr for a while, exporting a panel multiple times caused the export file to grow with each export)

[ i see that there might be a problem with the built in fonts again and the uiLCDLabel component, this was fixed in JUCE but it looks like it might be back, i’ll have a look at it later today ]

I’m trying to upload a panel to the DB following your instructions and I get this error message:

shit i knew something will happen, the response looks like a XML it should be a JSON string, what’s the DDB url you got it should be ddb/

Yes, the DDB URL I got is http://ctrlr.org/ddb/

i have no idea where the XML is comming from it should be all JSON encoded data in both requests and responses. I will do a bugfix build today anyway i’ll try to add some more debug information so we can trace what’s going on there.

Nice update. I have to say this is far more stable than the previous versions. I haven’t had a crash yet.

One request though. When importing a bpanelz with resources, instead of throwing an error when CTRLR sees you already have the resource file, it should go ahead and overwrite the file. If people are downloading updated bpanelz from me, and I’ve tweaked some of the images, but kept the same name, they won’t get the updated file and potentially have outdated graphics.

That should not happen anymore i’ll have a look at that once again, for now can you disable the automatic update option in global settings and see if that happens again ?

i uploaded a bug fix build that should fix the built in fonts bug with uiLCDLabel, and also for the DDB there is a bit more info in the Log viewer, so if anyone has problems
with it, have a look at the log viewer when doing anything with the DDB.

i did an update once again, the whole update thing is changed and working (there was a hole big problem with the Nightly builds)
also a small Log viewer fix. The embedded fonts should work now too.

I’m having new problems uploading the panel.

If I upload the panel clicking on Update only, when I download the panel it’s only 8 Kb (it should be more than 5 Mb)

And when I try to upload the panel clicking in Upload, I get this error message:

I just added a x32 linux build, however DDB won’t work on Linux for now cause there is a bug in JUCE and the network stuff gets screwed up, i already informed JULES and we’re trying to solve it.

I’m still having problems uploading the Virus panel. None of the options work for me (I even can`t delete it). Could you delete yourself the panel from the DDB so I could make a fresh upload?

Allrighty try again, sourceforge sets the upload file limit to 2MB so i raised that to 32mb, the delete thingy should work now no need to update Ctrlr.
