      I downloaded a patchbank that seems to be a bunch of .syx files.
      I’m totally new to this, how do I get these sounds on to the Virus via MIDI?

        You don’t want to use ctrlr for that. All you need is a program that plays back sysex files.

        Some DAWs feature this ability, some don’t. Why this isn’t a universal feature of all DAWS is beyond me. I guess we’re all supposed to be using software synths in 2013. /sarcasm

        If you’re on windows you want midiox
        If you’re on OS X you want snoize’s sysex librarian.

        That said yeah it’s possible to build a sysex librarian with ctrlr but it doesn’t do what you’re looking for “out of the box”.
