close tab buttons (x) on panel tabs

can there be a close tab button on the ctrlr panels? or at least a keyboard shortcut to close a panel? its easier to close a tab that way than to navigate into the file menu to close each tab.

useful if you have opened several panels for study, one might want to close those panels at some point.
