I got an email today from MOOG asking to remove the old Ctrlr v4 builds from googlecode, witch i did. Since i don’t know how illegal is using brand names and product names in opensource software i just wanted to warn anybody who created or wants to create a panel for Ctrlr, to keep that in mind. Find out if you can use the names/logos for your panels otherwise you might get into trouble.

        Hahaha, fucking Moog… seriously, c’mon.

I’m going to start naming and labeling them MOHG then.

I hope Bob is rolling in his grave. That’s lame.
My hunch is that Moog is probably working on developing similar panels for their synths and don’t want confusion..

either way I’d take it as a compliment. Too bad you can’t just change the logo to Mohg and call it a day.

They’re building their own control panels, or they’re being hard core on quality control of anything with the word Moog on it and only want approved items. So if someone makes a shitty panel and slaps Moog on it, someone finds it and thinks, "Man, this is not the quality I expect from Moog."

Protecting the brand, but I think it’s a little much.
