Maybe news and releases is the wrong place for this but i couldn’t find a rubric which suited this
As I am really glad that Roman build these controllers I think he should at least make a donation button on his site. Commercial parties are also developping these plugins which most of the time don’t support ableton or are full of bugs which aren’t adressed and charge people for half finished products.
I think that someone making these plugs possible in his spare time with so much dedication and drive to make them perfect without benefit from them commercially deserves donations. At least I would definately donate as I normally pay for my software and don’t download it (osx being an exception since apple don’t offer me legal ways to use their OS on own hardware).So Roman just make a donate button, at least people can decide wether they want to reward such good dedicated work or not. After all you’re fitting the gap between old analog hardware and DAW workflow!!
well i never did any coding for money, but i’ll set up a button once my paypal account get’s unlocked (looks like someone was trying to hack it and they blocked it). thanks that you want to donate, i never thought of that really. i don’t understand how those companies that make editors/librarians can charge for those products, it’s not their software that makes those nice sounds, they did not invent MIDI, all they have to do i read the manual and implement it in any programming language of their choice. Not only do they charge a shit load of money for that, from what i heard they do it badly.
